HOLISTIC SERVICES, INC. / PROJECT ESPERANZA

PURPOSE

A volunteer for Project Esperanza is someone that will help the HIV affected person. Currently, Holistic Services has 21 volunteers including its board of directors. The agency recruits volunteers to meet clients needs and to generate community awareness and support for the agency's work. Some of the current volunteers include physicians and social service providers. One does not, however, have to be a physician or social worker in order to volunteer. In fact, almost anyone with the desire to help others is eligible.

Bilingual volunteers are preferred, but there are enough activities for the non-bilingual person to take part in. Some of these tasks include administrative duties, providing transportation or proof reading English language documents.

HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER

All that is needed is to fill out a Volunteer Application application and a Confidentiality Form. Confidentiality is important in that the clients of Project Esperanza are HIV positive or have AIDS and it is important to maintain the privacy of their condition.

The Volunteer Application may be completed on-line or it may be printed and mailed directly to Project Esperanza. The Confidentiality Form requires a signature and must be printed. Please mail all printed application materials to our Post Office Box.
